An aspirin like pain reliever.  Seems to work best topically.  Extract with alcohol to make a liniment which treats rheumatism, sciatica and muscle aches.  A diuretic which eases minor bladder infections.  Expels gas and treats colic.  Magickally it is said to draw money, break hexes and  good luck, and aid in matters of sexuality.

As  a tea it treats ulcers, hemorrhoids, sore throat/mouth irritations.  As a compress it treat headaches.  In  a steam bath it can also help relieve colds, coughing, and heavy phlegm.  Branches commonly used for divining rods.  Used in magic for protection.  If carried it is said to ease a broken heart and cool the passions.

This plant has the reputation of attracting and dominating a new lover.  Bathe in a bath made with the herb and once through, should throw some of the bath water out of the front door to bewitch your lover.  Keep it around the house to overcome depression.  Also used for hex breaking, happiness, lust, and exorcism.

Aka Bishopswort.  Used to treat hysteria, palpitations, pain in head and face, neuralgia and all nervous conditions.  Used by Druids to expel evil spirits, cure nightmares and despair.  Burn at Summer   Solstice to purify and protect.  Sprinkle near doors and windows as a protective barrier.  Add to purification and protection mixtures.

Used to treat disorders of the stomach.  Stimulates the gall bladder and helps the release of stones.  Brings on menstruation.  Considered a poison by the FDA.  Burn to raise spirits.  Increases psychic ability especially in  divinatory practices.  Throw into the fire at Samhain to protect those present from bad spirits.  Also used for grounding.
